MVCC Committees

The commission will periodically appoint sub-committees for the purposes of execution of specific tasks related to land protection and stewardship. The commission currently has 2 active sub-committees: Open Space and Trails Committees.

Open Space Committee

The Open Space Committee was formed by a public vote at the 2003 town meeting to study the appropriation of funding and designation of open spaces in order to protect the natural resources of the town of Mont Vernon. Current members include:

Trails Committee

In 2006 the MVCC appointed a trails committee to focus on establishing and mapping trails on town lands as well as land set aside by developers as public open space. Working in tandem with local trail crews, the Trails Committee has developed and marked a number of trails in the community. Current members include:
